This beautiful, striking building is a prime example of the Vienna Secession style, part of the Art Nouveau movement, and has hosted many personalities from the world of politics, film, music and even royalty over the years, including Queen Elizabeth II. Room Block Pirate Alert
It is now common practice for scammers to watch the world wide web for events with a room block, like ICBEM. Scammers will contact you and tell you they have a better rate or offer at the conference property. Never follow a link or answer any questions if you are contacted by anyone other than the ICBEM. The ICBEM was alerted in 2023 that these unauthorized housing companies (called hotel “poachers”) were contacting our potential attendees, speakers and sponsors offering cheaper rates out of the ICBEM room block. This practice, also known as “room pirating”, is a scam that all convention attendees should be aware of in order to avoid passing along personal and financial information.
Please note that all official communications regarding the meeting will come from ICBEM. Do NOT respond to emails requesting you confirm your hotel through a third party provider or any other similar agency. These unscrupulous agencies are not affiliated in any way with our meeting, nor do they have authority to reserve rooms in our group block.
